We were delighted to introduce 7 schools to our new performing arts centre – “The Space”. The day was centered around the technology and engineering involved behind the scenes of a theatre.

We had 42 Children taking part in the day, who were all able to see first hand how crucial lighting, sound and production are to a theatre performance. We had Phil Smith, an expert in the field, lead a session on this.

In the afternoon, the children were then able to use this knowledge when designing and building their own theatres.

We were thoroughly impressed with the creative and technical skills shown throughout the day. Well done to everyone who took part.
